A'ishah during Ramadan

Back in mid September, I had a post about A'ishah's BFF (Best Friend Forever), a bright, sunny cloth flower that we had bought from Toys "R" Us. A few days after I wrote that post, Milady took a picture of A'ishah smiling at the flower:


Since that time, we've also added a musical mobile and a small fan to the crib, the fan having several LED lights that makes colorful patterns as the blades spin. Those have attracted A'ishah's attention in recent weeks far better than the flower, which is more or less ignored now despite it still having a prominent space on the crib.

This next photo was taken by Milady with her brother Du@n holding A'ishah. The "glow" is due to the photo being taken in front of Arcadia doors on a bright day.


Finally, we have two more photos of A'ishah in all her "chipmunk cheek" glory. Both pictures were taken during Ramadan, very early in the morning, when everyone was eating breakfast before the start of fasting. The hand in both photos is mine. :)

I'm also pleased to say that A'ishah is developing a sense of humor. A couple of days ago, Milady was holding A'ishah in front of a mirror and making faces at her. Every few seconds A'ishah would then giggle ("ha ha"), which was really cute to watch. Later that day, we bought a small swing for A'ishah to sit in. As soon as she was placed in it and the swing began to rock, she giggled once more. Very cute!

A'ishah @ 1 Month

It's hard to believe, but A'ishah is 38 days old today (a little over five weeks). Both she and Milady moved home recently after spending a month at Milady's parents' flat. (I believe we picked up that idea from a comment at Izzy Mo's blog.) Anyway, here's the little darling asleep on the couch as we cleaned our place for a baby shower:


And now she's just starting to wake up from her nap. (This picture and the next were taken by my bro-in-law, Du@n.)


Yeeaaaahhh! Get that thing outta my face!


This next picture was taken late at night recently before A'ishah's midnight feeding. (I normally feed A'ishah around midnight, while Milady does the 4 am and 8 am feedings. More often than not, A'ishah's playful at that time of night, and I don't get to bed till 1:30 or 2:00 am, when she finally falls back asleep. Of course this has completely screwed up my sleep schedule.) Anyway, just before feeding, I was struck by the whiteness of the scene, yet I didn't want to use the flash for fear of waking A'ishah up. So the only lighting here was a halogen lamp on the other side of the room, next to a wooden bookcase, which gave this picture a brownish tone.

Du@n: Can You Spot a Hubber?

One of my bro-in-laws, Du@n (the video genius), has entered a local contest to produce a Starhub commercial. (Starhub is a cable TV and internet provider here in S'pore.) Du@n had told me yesterday he was looking for some footage we had taken of the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station several years ago. Apparently he found it because this is the visual portion of the commercial. (For the contest, everyone must use the Starhub theme song.) Unfortunately, Du@n also edited out Milady and I from the video because we were in the original footage. Please do us a favor and vote for Du@n's video!
