Three New Pics of A'ishah

The handphone yesterday was starting to look a little shaky, so I thought I'd download all my pictures of A'ishah to the computer before I lost any of them. Below are three of the better photos, all taken by Milady. The first is of A'ishah being held by "Atuk" (pronounced more like "Ah-toe"), her maternal grandfather. The dress was bought for Chinese New Year, which dates this photo back to around mid- to late-January.

I'm not quite sure when this photo was taken, but one thing about A'ishah is that she's a natural poser. She usually knows when Mommy or Daddy is taking her picture, and she'll turn on the charm when the camera's pointing her way, as she did in this photo while lying on our bed. (That's my hand rubbing her back.)

This last photo is of A'ishah in her walker with all of its brightly colored distractions. A'ishah's not feeling very well at the moment, having caught a head cold that's gone down to her lungs. We're planning on going to the pediatrician with her later this afternoon, insha'allah.

She takes after both of us. She definitely has her maternal grandfather's nose (that was obvious the day she was born). Milady says she has my chin and neck; Milady's sister and cousins think A'ishah's looking (overall) more and more like me as she grows older. Her eyes are definitely from the maternal side, but no one's quite sure whose they resemble. (We tell people, "American father, Malay mother, Chinese baby." :) ) Her head perspires like one of her maternal cousin's used to when she was younger. ;) The skin tone is between our two; I'm a little fairer than A'ishah, who's fairer than her mother. Personality-wise, who can say just yet. :) However, she loves eating cottage cheese, just like her daddy. ;)
