Bonus Question: Name the 5 C's.
Now, before you get your knickers in a twist, here are some hints:
* Most acronyms are the same number of words as there are letters, but not always.
* Many of the acronyms ending in "E" are "expressways," but not always.
* Most of these acronyms are serious (e.g., government departments, businesses, educational institutions, etc.), but a few are cultural acronyms.
* Finally, almost all of these are or can be used in everyday conversations.

Ronin:
Actually, I got the idea for this blog post about four-five years ago after coming across a similar listing of the various acronyms on a Singapore expat forum. I had just never written up this type of "quiz." From an expat's perspective, I do think S'pore uses a very large number of acronyms compared with other countries. The only country I can think of off-hand that uses as many acronyms and abbreviations is Germany, but that's because many of their words are so long.
ah right. did you know that i was once a moderator on one of those forums? ;)
i left coz i fell out with the owner over his iron-fist policies.
